Stephen Hecker is a full-time multi award-winning tattoo artist specializing in anime, cartoons, pop culture, trash polka, and watercolor pieces. He currently resides in Southern California with his family of seven kids and his wonderful and supporting wife. Stephen also co-owns High Tyde Ink & Imaging, alongside one of his close friends, which is a custom graphics apparel & print production company.

Stephen has published artwork in the means of graphic logos and brandings due to his B. A. in graphic design and digital coding he received from Bellevue University, Nebraska. He was a part of written published pieces also, such as the Awakened comic book series. He was published in a school children book competition back in 1996 at the La Mirada, California library for his book, The Lost Dinosaur.

Zebulon: The Black Dragon’s Claw & Zebulon: Song & Scar, the first and second book to the series have both received two awards each. The first was at The Book Festival for Fall 2022 and the second book was at The Book Festival for Fall 2023.

He is currently working on the fourth book to the Zebulon series as well as several short stories and novellas to different characters that are to be encountered within the world of Zebulon. He also is currently working on two children’s stories, one of which is a revamping of his winning short, The Lost Dinosaur. Be sure to keep an eye out for all of his future work. He also is currently working on a Tabletop Role Playing Game system for the Zebulon Series, as well as an Encyclopedia of the things you find in the world of Zebulon. He is currently working on other novels not pertaining to Zebulon.
